St Peters Court - location

Close to coast and country

A large part of Bristol's contemporary appeal comes from its fantastic location. To the south you find glorious beaches with miles of open sands - good old British seaside at its very finest. And if you're prepared to go only a little further, simply drive for a couple of hours and the beaches of Devon and Cornwall beckon.

Inland the countryside is glorious, the Mendips rising majestic above the surrounding countryside. Nearby Bath is a town of much Georgian beauty, while across the River Severn is Wales. Whatever your pastimes Bristol is in every way an ideal place from which to pursue them.

Spend a little time here and you quickly come to the conclusion that Bristol has that most sought-after of 21st century commodities - a great work-life balance.

In part that's due to what the City provides for itself - art, culture, education, shopping, sport and leisure. But equally it's in what you're near outside the City. Within two hours in any direction you'll find seaside and surfing and fabulous countryside, but also London.

And Bristol is so very connected. The airport opens the door to foreign travel and is attracting low-cost airlines. The rail links are excellent, the road access free and easy in every direction. On days when you feel the need to escape there are no barriers - the big wide world is literally right on your doorstep.

Of course, if you already live here you know these things. But we just thought we'd celebrate them with you one more time!
